Research on gap-adaptive high frequency pulse arc welding of stainless-steel thin plate based on machine learning SCIE

Abstract :

The demand for butt welding of stainless-steel thin plates has been increasing year by year in industries such as shipbuilding, pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, and food processing. However, during the butt welding of thin plates, the low structural rigidity causes real-time change in the gap, which complicates the ability of automated welding to achieve uniform weld seam geometry. Therefore, this paper aims to overcome the challenges of cross coupling and the sensitivity of hyperparameter selection and realize the gap-adaptive welding during the high frequency pulse arc welding process by implementing to optimize the number of trees and the minimum number of leaf nodes in the random forest model. After the optimal welding parameters are then used to train the random forest model, a gap-adaptive control platform, which take gap, weld face width, weld root width, and face reinforcement as input features and peak current, wire feed speed, and welding speed as output features, is established to enable real-time measure the gap by using a laser track sensor. The results demonstrate that under fixed and gradient gap conditions, the weld seam geometry is uniformly formed and no significant defects can be found. Under step gap conditions, gap-adaptive welding effectively prevents burn-through defects and ensures stable weld seam geometry. Furthermore, microstructural and mechanical property characterization indicates that an increase in frequency during welding effectively refines the grain size in the seam. The tensile strength values of the samples are similar and all samples fracture at the base metal.

Collaborative Optimization of Aerodynamics and Wind Turbine Blades SCIE

Abstract :

This paper explores the application of multidisciplinary design optimization to the blades in horizontal-axis wind turbines. The aerodynamics and structural performance of blades are considered in the optimization framework. In the aerodynamic discipline, class function/shape function transformation-based parameterized modeling is used to express the airfoil. The Wilson method is employed to obtain the aerodynamic shape of the blade. Computational fluid dynamics numerical simulation is performed to analyze the aerodynamics of the blade. In the structural discipline, the materials and ply lay-up design are studied. Finite element method-based modal analysis and static structural analysis are conducted to verify the structural design of the blade. A collaborative optimization framework is set up on the Isight platform, employing a genetic algorithm to find the optimal solution for the blade's aerodynamics and structural properties. In the optimization framework, the design variables refer to the length of the blade chord, twist angle, and lay-up thickness. Additionally, Kriging surrogate models are constructed to reduce the numerical simulation time required during optimization. An optimal Latin hypercube sampling method-based experimental design is employed to determine the samples used in the surrogate models. The optimized blade exhibits improved performance in both the aerodynamic and the structural disciplines.

Abstract :

基于冶金机理选取热镀锌钢卷基本建模特征,采用梯度提升决策树算法对其他化学元素特征进行筛选,结合网格搜索与交叉验证方法对模型参数进行优化,并利用模型分析不同特征对钢卷屈服强度的影响.结果表明:热镀锌钢卷力学性能预测建模的基本特征包括工艺参数特征、规格特征以及基本化学元素特征,对钢卷屈服强度影响较大的其他化学元素特征为氮、铝含量;模型参数优化后,在测试集上测得屈服强度的均方根误差为10.671 MPa,平均绝对误差为8.244 MPa,平均绝对百分误差为2.641%,模型预测精度比模型参数优化前的明显提高;当碳、硅、锰含量变化或热轧入轧温度变化时,钢卷屈服强度的变化幅度较大.

Abstract :

采用环块式摩擦磨损实验研究了一种新型摩擦材料在水润滑状态下不同载荷与转速对试样摩擦学性能的影响,并对比干摩擦条件下的摩擦学性能变化,借助磨损表面形貌观察分析其磨损机理.实验结果表明:水润滑条件下,摩擦系数随着载荷的增大而减小,随着转速的提高先增加后减小;磨损率随着载荷与转速的提高都减小.相同载荷与转速下,干摩擦时磨损机理以磨粒磨损和黏着磨损为主,而水润滑条件下水形成边界润滑,磨损机理以磨粒磨损和轻微的黏着磨损为主;水润滑条件下摩擦系数和磨损率均低于干摩擦,主要是由于水起到了润滑和冷却的作用,阻止了转移膜的形成,并在材料表面形成水膜起到了边界润滑的作用.

以竹纤维为增强相,通过稀土化合物改性制备一种树脂基复合材料;采用环块式摩擦磨损实验,研究稀土化合物改性复合材料在油润滑状态下载荷、转速对试样摩擦学性能的影响,以及稀土化合物改性对复合材料试样摩擦学性能的影响;比较干摩擦状态和油润滑状态下复合材料的摩擦学性能,观察和分析试样磨损表面形貌,探讨其磨损机制.实验结果表明:油润滑条件下,稀土化合物改性复合材料的摩擦因数和磨损率都随着载荷的增大而增加;较高载荷下摩擦因数随着转速的增大先增加后减小,而磨损率则呈现逐步增加的趋势;稀土化合物的改性使竹纤维和基体界面结合更为紧密,提高摩擦因数的同时降低了磨损率;在油润滑作用下,试样磨损由干摩擦时的磨粒磨损和疲劳磨损转变成为轻微的疲劳磨损;在油润滑状态下,复合材料处于边界润滑状态,故摩擦因数和磨损率均低于干摩擦.

Abstract :

随着汽车制动摩擦材料的更新换代,环保型摩擦材料越来越受人们的青睐.为了进一步减少金属纤维在摩擦材料中的使用,减少污染,通过正交优化实验,研究了氧化镧、改性树脂、陶瓷纤维和竹纤维含量及其交互作用对树脂基复合材料低温摩擦系数和高温磨损的影响,利用CHASE实验机测试验证了优化配方的热稳定性.研究结果表明,低温下,树脂含量、氧化镧与陶瓷纤维的交互作用对摩擦系数影响最大;高温下,氧化镧和树脂的含量对材料的磨损率影响最大;优化配方的抗热衰退与热恢复性能较好,高温下仍能保持较高的摩擦系数,且各个温度段下磨损率较低,其摩擦磨损性能超过普通半金属刹车片.

Abstract :

为克服树脂基制动材料易产生热衰退而失效的问题, 在热压成型的树脂基制动摩擦材料加入氧化镧进行改性.通过正交试验方差分析获得摩擦学性能较优的配方, 通过X-DM摩擦试验、磨损表面形貌分析等手段探讨氧化镧对材料在不同温度下的摩擦学性能的影响, 并探讨其摩擦磨损机制.结果表明:摩擦材料配方组分及质量分数分别为氧化镧21.6%、酚醛树脂12.9%、硅酸铝纤维12.9%、竹纤维2.6%, 其他填料50%时可获得较优的摩擦磨损性能;加入适量的氧化镧不仅能够稳定低温、高温摩擦因数, 还能降低磨损率, 减少热衰退的产生;在树脂基制动摩擦材料中加入适量的氧化镧后, 其磨损形式由磨粒磨损为主转变为黏着磨损为主, 且磨损表面出现大面积连续的摩擦膜.

Abstract :

A high-quality brake material was developed by using different rare earth oxide modified resin-based brake materials and designing the composite material through an orthogonal optimization test. The effect of rare earth oxide on the properties of the resin-based brake material, such as the friction and wear, thermal decay resistance, and recovery, was explored using the constant-speed friction test, Chase friction test and worn surface morphological observation. The results show that rare earth lanthanum oxide can be added to improve the friction and wear properties of the brake material compared to cerium oxide and yttrium oxide. At 100–350°C, the friction coefficient of the developed brake material fluctuates in the range of 0.40–0.50, and the material has high friction coefficient, good thermal decay resistance and favourable wear resistance. The friction coefficient of the optimal formulation can reach the GF level, so its tribological properties are very good and better than the brake pads of automobiles at home and abroad. © 2019, © 2019 Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining and Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.

Abstract :

通过定速摩擦试验、CHASE摩擦试验及磨损表面形貌观察等方法探讨La2O3含量对稀土La2O3改性树脂基制动材料的摩擦磨损性能、抗热衰退性能与恢复性能的影响。定速摩擦试验结果表明,制动材料中添加适量La2O3可有效提高其摩擦因数,降低其磨损率,同时还可增加其摩擦因数的稳定性;其中,添加20%La2O3试样的综合摩擦学性能为最优。CHASE摩擦试验结果表明,La2O3的加入可有效提高复合材料的抗热衰退性能与恢复性能。
