Abstract ：
Higher education has recently become an essential path to inheriting ICH in China. This research shows consideration about the protection of ICH. Using the ICH inheriting Xiamen d embroidery class undertaken at the Xiamen Academy of Arts and Design, Fuzhou University, as the evidence and example, this study may present the latest status of China's ICH protection from the perspective of higher art education. This research contains two parts, one consisting of a general outline of ICH protection and status, in China and globally. Another part discusses the details of a class teaching the ICH art form of Xiamen bead embroidery. In this part, a questionnaire survey on social awareness, higher education, and basic understanding of ICH was conducted. Meanwhile, a scientific model was developed, and, with it, public sense was examined precisely by data correlation analysis according to the questionnaire's distribution. The R language was used as the technical method for all statistical collation and summary. This research attempts to prove the correctness of the ICH inheriting class, which could be used as a model of an advanced and sustainable educational system featuring the scientific integration of ICH inheritance and higher education in the near future.

The Republic of China witnessed a period of unprecedented upsurge of women's enthusiasm for wearing cheongsam. The endless improvement of the cheongsam style by fashion designers, which also laid the foundation for women to wear cheongsam from the middle of 1920, made cheongsam the most typical fashion style in the Republic of China at that time. This paper is based on first-hand historical data in its entirety and it summarizes the general changes of the collar, sleeve, slit, length, fabric, pattern and accessories of the fashion cheongsam. The research revealed that the cheongsam fashion in the Republic of China has undergone rapid changes, with many popular styles. This paper offers a systemic study on the origins of early modern fashion design in China and the specific nature of designers' creations. It also analyses what kinds of groups the designers belong to, as well as the characteristics of their designs and the mass audience for them. As the study shows, fashion design of this time not only played a vital role in the fashion and modernization of Chinese dress, but also provided strong impetus to the fashion and trends of the time.

Fashion overcoats came in vogue in Shanghai in the Republic of China (ROC) (1912-1949) in the mid & late 1920s, before became the trendy wear for modern ladies of numerous big cities of the country. Fashion overcoats in the Republic of China featured a distinct law of changes, with decade-identifiable design elements such as fits, fabrics, and colors. Fashion overcoat was one of the most representative lady fashion wears in the Republic of China time. With the sophisticated craftsmanship, exquisite materials, and elegant design, it reflected the highest level in fashion wear of that time.

Women's fashion clothes in Minguo era were produced and developed in certain context, integrating Chinese and western culture as well as ancient and modern ones. Then it shaped Shanghai-style clothes with independent, stable and mature features. At that time, Shanghai was in the center of fashion in Asia, and women's fashion clothes came into a separate industry. Women's fashion clothes in Shanghai during that period focused on the beauty of women's body figure with various forms, decorated craftsmanship, innovative power, cultural elements and profound influence. In general, Shanghai women's fashion clothes in Minguo era reflect the history of fashion and mirror the development of Minguo culture.

Through studying the relation between human performance and commercial fashion show as well as their disparities in terms of the development, presentation and function, we can figure out that commercial fashion show belongs to and is covered by human performance. From the perspective of development, both prospered in post-industrial era. In terms of presenting form, performance studies cover various forms of performance and presentation while commercial fashion show is based on model show and illustrated by music, performance design and stage arts. As to function, performance studies contribute to people's understanding of the nature and value of the performers through those artificial forms; while commercial fashion show functions in costume consumption and sale by attracting the audience to purchase.
