A Substructure-based Model Updating Method to Damage Detection for Large-scale Structures SCIE

Abstract :

The health monitoring and damage detection of structures are major scientific issues that the civil engineering discipline, which made great achievements in the 20th century, has bequeathed to the 21st century. Despite the installation of health monitoring systems in many large structures, implementing damage detection through finite element model updating is often time-consuming or even infeasible due to the size of the model and the presence of numerous uncertain parameters. To address this issue, this paper proposes a substructure-based model updating method. The entire structure is divided into substructures with reduced degrees of freedom, allowing for the simplification of the motion equation by employing only a small number of low-order modes from each substructure. Consequently, the analysis scale of the structure is effectively reduced. The discarded higher modes are compensated by residual modes to ensure the accuracy of structural response and sensitivity. Subsequently, a damage identification program substructurebased model updating is developed, which is applied to component mode synthesis and damage identification for large structures. By precisely detecting damage in critical areas, accurate diagnosis and evaluation of the global structural safety are achieved. The results validate the implementation, computational efficiency, and accuracy of the proposed substructure-based model updating method. This approach shifts the focus from model updating of the entire structure to model updating of substructures, with the aim of fundamentally resolving the technical challenge of accurate damage detection of large and complex structures. Furthermore, it provides theoretical support for the practical application of damage detection in large civil structures.

利用Lamb波时间反转法的套筒灌浆连接缺陷位置检测 PKU

Abstract :

针对装配式建筑中套筒灌浆连接件缺陷位置难确定的问题,建立套筒灌浆连接结构有限元模型,采用Lamb波研究套筒灌浆连接结构中的传播规律.在确定最佳激励信号的基础上,检测出灌浆料损伤缺陷位置,同时设置无损伤测区与有损伤测区.结果表明,有损伤测区聚焦峰值与无损伤测区聚焦峰值均值相比下降11.70%,说明采用Lamb波时间反转法可实现预埋状态下套筒灌浆连接结构内部缺陷位置的判断.其对套筒灌浆连接缺陷定位是有效的,在结构无损检测领域具有良好的应用前景.

基于灵敏度分析的结构损伤识别方法研究

Abstract :

土木结构对健康监测需求巨大,但由于结构复杂、体型庞大,缺乏对海量数据的有效处理方式,导致损伤的精确定位和定量存在诸多困难。从结构损伤和模态参数之间的内在关系出发,根据结构模态参数与设计参数的近似关系推导了灵敏度表达式,建立基于灵敏度分析的损伤识别程序。通过框架模型的数值模拟,构建不同损伤指标方案反演模型,揭示了模态参数的敏感性,检验了损伤识别性能。因损伤实质是局部现象且识别过程涉及大量未知参数,需选择对损伤敏感的模态,同时利用频率与振型更好的反演结构损伤信息,提高识别精度,降低迭代次数。

Study on plug-pin energy-dissipating joint with integrated mild steel dampers SCIE

Abstract :

Plug-pin joints are designed for easy assembly and fast construction. Full-scale experiments were carried out on three exterior beams-to-column joints subjected to reversal cyclic loading. It has been proved from experimental results that the proposed connection not only guarantees structural integrity but also moves the plastic hinge away from the column edge. Based on the experimental results, a novel plug-pin connection with integrated mild steel dampers is proposed. The energy dissipation joint fully adopts a dry connection method, and the joint's ductility is significantly improved by the integrated energy-dissipating steel plates. Finite element models are established to study the effects of different diameters of steel bars and thicknesses of energydissipating steel plates on structural response and mechanical properties under low cyclic reciprocating loads. Parameter studies were carried out, and the obtained results indicate that the proposed joints can bear a greater displacement load than that of cast-in-place joints and achieve greater energy dissipation. The maximum bearing capacity of the joint can be improved by increasing the thickness of the energy-dissipating steel plates, but the bearing capacity decline period of the joint will appear in advance under the same order of loading. If designed properly, structures installed with the plug-pin joint will be expected to adjust the order of plastic hinge development, thus achieving better seismic performance.

Time Reversal Method for Lamb-Wave-Based Diagnostics of Multiple-Sleeve Grouting Connections SCIE

Abstract :

The grouting quality of the grouting sleeve connector is crucial for ensuring the stability of prefabricated building components. In practical engineering, the grouting sleeve is often arranged with multiple sleeves, and there is no feasible nondestructive testing method for testing the complex arrangement of the sleeve grouting joints in the embedded state. Building upon the feasibility of nondestructive detection of single socket grouting connectors, this study discusses the feasibility of defect detection and the severity of defects. Simulation results are used to investigate the choice of the best excitation signal. For different simulated damage cases, it is proven that the selected damage index can be very sensitive, and both the location and the extent of the damage can be detected successfully. The results demonstrate that with the section injury rate ranging from 10% to 40%, the reverse focus peak decreased from 20% to 60% compared to no injury. The effectiveness of the Lamb-wave-based time reversal method in detecting the internal grouting defects of multiple grouting sleeve joints is proven. This paper focuses on the detection study of the Lamb-wave-based time reversal method and proves its ability to perform the detection task effectively and accurately.

填充材料刚度对装配式耗能RC结构性能的影响

传统装配式框架结构的梁柱节点在地震作用下为薄弱部位,为了改善传统装配式框架结构的抗震耗能能力,提出一种内置阻尼器与耗能墙板的新型装配式耗能RC结构体系,通过参数优选达到阻尼器-耗能墙板-框架的屈服顺序。新型装配式耗能RC结构体系中墙板与框架之间填充介质的刚度对结构耗能能力及屈服顺序有着极大的影响,采用有限元分析软件ABAQUS建立单跨模型,对该体系墙板与柱之间的填充材料输入不同刚度,利用拟静力分析方法探究该体系所采用的填充材料刚度对整体结构抗震耗能性能及分阶段屈服能力的影响,结果表明较柔的填充材料能够有效的增强结构体系的耗能能力及分阶段屈服能力。

针对掺复合镍铁渣混凝土与水平钢筋的粘结强度弱于普通混凝土的情况,基于试验研究复合镍铁渣混凝土梁柱中节点的变形特性.节点变形主要归结为附属梁体的弯曲变形和梁纵筋滑移引起的梁柱界面附加转角变形.从试验现象来看,梁体的弯曲变形并不明显,而梁柱界面附加转角变形明显.采用数值方法分析了不同复合镍铁渣掺量下梁柱界面附加转角变形值,研究表明,随着复合镍铁渣掺量的增加,梁柱界面附加转角增加,占整体变形较大比例.为此提出了梁端等效塑性铰模型,确定塑性铰长度与梁长、复合镍铁渣掺量、梁纵筋直径之间的关系,用于评估复合镍铁渣混凝土梁柱中节点的极限变形能力.

武夷山地区短时冻期边坡浅层温湿度变化的数值模拟

Abstract :

以武夷山地区短时冻融气候为例,采用有限差分原理编制冻土水热耦合程序,模拟武夷山地区短时冻融气候条件下边坡浅层温湿度场变化规律。结果表明:边坡浅层温度状况随气温的变化基本呈周期性的变化规律,且存在边坡浅层温度滞后气温的现象。同时,边坡浅层(0~15 cm)最低温度约-5.1℃,而最高温度可达13.5℃左右;表层土体冻结时间在夜间21:00到次日凌晨5:00之间。开始冻结时冻土段的温度梯度大于未冻土段,冻结段和未冻土段土层内温度差异逐渐缩小,温度梯度变小。无论是总含水率,还是未冻水含量,地表浅层的含水率变化幅度都最大,而10 cm以下的含水率曲线平缓,武夷山地区冻结层厚度约为10 cm。

本发明涉及一种集成软钢阻尼器的耗能节点,包括混凝土柱、混凝土梁、插接件、软钢阻尼器、工字型钢;插接件预埋于混凝土柱侧面的连接节点处;软钢阻尼器一端与插接件插接,另一端连接混凝土梁;工字型钢设置在插接件下部,包括左工字型钢、右工字型钢左工字型钢固定端预埋在混凝土柱内,右工字型钢固定端预埋在混凝土梁内,左工字型钢、右工字型钢的连接端经锁紧件连接锁紧,混凝土柱为预制柱,混凝土梁为预制梁,预制柱、预制梁内均设置有钢筋骨架,插接件、软钢阻尼器、左工字型钢、右工字型钢的预埋部位与对应的钢筋骨架相连接,本耗能节点现场施工时无需湿作业,具备相当的耗能能力,提高了节点区域的强度、耗能能力、抗震性能。

Abstract :

A tuned mass rocking wall (TMRW)-frame structure system is proposed to improve the energy dissipation ability of the traditional rocking wall-frame system. Based on the energy dissipation principle of the traditional tuned mass damper (TMD), a TMRW is designed with proper mass and stiffness according to the dynamic characteristic of the host structure. Firstly, considering the presence of inherent structural damping, the dynamic amplification factor of the main mass was derived from the dynamic equations of the TMRW mechanism. A practical design table was then obtained after parameter study. Secondly, by taking a six-story frame structure as an example, the dynamic time-history analysis was conducted to study TMRW's seismic performance. The inter-story drift ratios of the TMRW-frame, the traditional rocking wall-frame, and the frame structures were compared, and the seismic responses of the controlled and uncontrolled structures were also compared. The results demonstrate that the TMRW can effectively reduce the inter-story displacement of the host structure, and the lateral deformation mode of the host structure tends to be more uniform. However, compared with the traditional rocking wall-frame system, the proposed TMRW has less ability on coordinating deformation.
