Abstract :
Human error, as a major accident causal factor, can trigger an storage tank fire accident and delay the activation of active protection. In this work, a domino-human intervention model was proposed to assess the effect of human reliability on domino fire accidents. The optimized cognitive reliability and error analysis method (CREAM) was constructed to calculate the human error probability (HEP). The dynamic Bayesian network (DBN) of the domino-human intervention model was constructed by the probability of fire escalation and HEP. Among them, the analyzed network includes an initial accident scenario and a safety barrier protection scenario. Lastly, the domino-human intervention model was applied in a case study. The application of the model is validated in the case study, which confirms that HEP can reduce storage tank safety, as well as have a delayed effect on active protection. The proposed model will serve as an assessment tool for the effect of human reliability on domino accidents.

Abstract :
The co-burning of multiple tank fires and dike fire is a typical fire phenomenon in massive fire accidents, which involved intricate heat and mass transfer processes. This study aims to investigate the dynamic evolution behaviors and explore the heat feedback characteristics exhibited by co-burning fires. A series of co-burning fires (CBFs) experiments with different tank spacings were conducted. For comparison, the experiments of double tank fires (DTFs) and dike fire (DF) were also conducted. The flame morphology of CBFs shows that the burning process can be divided into four stages, i.e., elevated and ground fire of initial stage, boiling over stage, quasistable co-burning stage, and extinguishing stage. During the quasi-stable stage, the fuel of the tank is in film boiling. And the mass loss rate of the tank increases sharply accompanied by flame lift-off compared with discrete double tank fires. It indicates that the heat feedback enhancement plays a dominant role due to the direct heating of sidewall by the dike fire. The analysis of heat feedback reveals that the mode of heat conduction changes and the dominated heat feedback for CBFs has shifted from radiation to conduction compared with DTFs, accounting for about 65 % of the total heat feedback.

Abstract :
Sulfide ores are susceptible to oxidation in air, posing a risk of spontaneous combustion. This oxidation process generates toxic and harmful acidic gases, which endanger human health and cause equipment corrosion. To effectively prevent spontaneous combustion of sulfide ore, this paper studies the desulfurization and self-heating characteristics of ores before and after microwave radiation. Firstly, orthogonal experiment and control variable method were used to study the effect of heating rate of sulfide ore in microwave environment on desulfurization rate. Secondly, thermal analysis technique was employed to understand the self-heating characteristics of the ore in different microwave temperature rising rates. Also, spontaneous combustion risk of different sulfide ores was assessed based on the method of oxidation mass gain. Finally, the microscopic morphology and chemical composition of sulfide ores with different microwave heating rates were revealed by material analysis. The study shows that the desulfurization rate of sulfide ore increased with the increase of microwave radiation heating rate. Microwave desulfurization can enhance the thermal stability of sulfide ore and restrain its self-heating ability. When the higher microwave heating rate is used to treat the sulfide ore, the hazard of spontaneous combustion can be significantly reduced. Cracks in sulfide ores can be caused by microwave heating conditions. As temperature rising rate increases, the amount of FeS2 converted to FeS increases, and the content of pyrite decreases.

Urban gas pipeline networks (UGPN) provide important support for high-quality urbanization. Therefore, it is imperative to analyze and assess the potential failures of UGPN. A novel probabilistic analysis method is proposed for assessing the safety and resilience of UGPN. Firstly, Bow-Tie analysis is used to identify faults. Then, a four-dimensional resilience assessment network is developed. Bayesian network is utilized to model the relationship between the variables, while dynamic Bayesian network is used to consider the dynamic nature of the system. The results of the study show that the proposed model can accurately estimate faults, consequences, and influence paths. Furthermore, the resilience analysis shows that monitoring the objective conditions is crucial and that the initial failure probability of the UGPN decreases from 0.03767 % to 0.01435 % when connected to a resilience network, indicating that considering resilience can effectively improve the reliability and safety of the UGPN. Two application examples are presented in the paper to validate the functionality of the proposed model. The proposed model can be used to set the state of UGPN to predict the probability of occurrence of a specific event and its consequences and to simulate the improvement trend of UGPN based on the direction of focus of future work.

This paper aims to investigate the fault arc's arcing process and the arcing electrode's temperature distribution characteristics. A series of 220VAC fault arc experiments were carried out under different currents and electrode materials. The fault arc arcing process is recorded and analyzed, and the temperature distribution of the arcing electrode is revealed. The arcing electrode temperature is used as an indicator of the potential fire hazard caused by the fault arc. The results show that the physical arcing process can be divided into three stages. The arcing electrode temperature rise is mainly caused by the combined effect of the heat conduction from the fault arc and the Joule heat, and the heat conduction from the fault arc plays a dominant role. Different electrode materials have a certain influence on the arc intensity. The melting of metal electrodes affects the intensity and continuity of arc. In the continuous arcing stage, temperature distribution models of the arcing electrode surface and the radial electrode are established. Finally, the arc energy is predicted under different working conditions. The results of this study provide a theoretical basis and scientific guidance for revealing the occurrence and development of arc-type electrical fire accidents.

为科学评估高校实验室事故应急处置能力,文章基于霍尔三维模型,构建了高校实验室应急能力评估指标体系;采用G1序关系法和熵权法组合赋权确定各级指标权重,并提出了高校实验室应急能力评估组合赋权云模型.以某高校为研究对象,应用组合赋权云模型对该校实验室事故应急处置能力进行综合评估的结果表明,该方法能较好地解决评估过程模糊性与随机性强的问题,客观评估高校实验室应急能力水平,为提升高校实验室应急能力提供科学参考.

开展劳动教育是落实立德树人根本任务、培育高素质专业人才的重要举措.文章分析了当前高校劳动教育存在的主要问题,结合安全工程专业的办学特点,介绍了福州大学与福建省消防救援总队合作共建"德勤技专创"五位一体的劳动教育基地的实践成效,并从劳动教育实训措施、条件保障、评价机制等方面阐述了该基地的建设内容.实践表明,依托该基地开展劳动教育有助于安全工程专业学生树立正确的劳动观念,提高职业安全素养.

高校实验室是集聚和培养优秀专业人才、开展高水平科学研究的重要基地,但目前仍面临较多安全管理难题.现以"中科院某研究所高压反应釜爆炸事故"为例,采用PAR事故致因模型开展高校实验室安全管理研究,以安全感知—安全分析—安全应答(PAR)为节点,对实验室建设与管理处、中心实验室、实验室操作主体3个层面进行分析.研究表明,PAR模型能充分发挥安全信息的交流作用,从宏观、中观、微观3个层面进行事故致因分析,为完善实验室事故分析体系等提供有效支撑.本研究对高校实验室安全管理的安全信息分析和风险防控提供参考,对实验室安全管理有一定理论指导意义.

为研究半横向通风下隧道内发生火灾时,顶棚有效高度对顶棚烟气温度分布的影响,建立1∶10的缩尺寸隧道模型进行试验.在半横向通风方式下,通过改变通风风速、油池尺寸和顶棚有效高度等参数,分析燃料顶棚烟气最高温升的变化规律和顶棚烟气温度的纵向分布特征.结果表明,随着顶棚有效高度的增加,顶棚最高温升逐渐降低,而且隧道顶棚烟气温度纵向衰减更加显著;同时,风速的增加导致顶棚最高温升大幅下降,相较于纵向通风,半横向通风下顶棚最高温升明显偏小,顶棚烟气温度纵向衰减更明显.据此提出新的考虑通风风速、顶棚有效高度和火源功率的无量纲最高顶棚温升和顶棚烟气温度纵向衰减的经验模型.

Forest fires will do great harm to the ecological environment. At present, the most important research field is the study of the causes of forest fires, and the failure to determine the causes will greatly hinder the prevention, control and safety management of forest fires. In order to solve this problem, this paper constructs a Bayesian network to calculate the state probability and sensitivity after determining the factors related to forest fire. Secondly, on the basis of constructing Bayesian network, the Bow-tie model is constructed according to the consequences of forest fire. The constructed Bow-tie model contains 7 influencing factors and 5 consequences, and 26 corresponding control measures. Finally, through the analysis of Bayesian network and bow tie model, the forest fire prevention system is constructed. According to the calculation results of the Bayesian network, the probability of forest fires being at high risk of occurrence is higher for three factors: agriculture, forestry and water expenditure, rural population density and precipitation. Changes in rural population density and humidity have the greatest impact on the occurrence of forest fires. In combination with the Bow-tie model, human factors are the most important factors leading to the occurrence of forest fires, and the material, environmental, and management factors are the secondary factors. Based on the forest control system, the prevention and management measures are put forward. This research can provide reference for the control of forest fire and reduce the occurrence of similar forest fires.
