Abstract:
As a bridge structure with good robustness, through tied-arch bridge often has bridge collapse accidents caused by suspender failure. To study the collapse failure mechanism of through tied-arch bridge considering the systematic failure of suspenders, the importance of each suspender in the bridge is evaluated, and the most unfavorable suspender breaking condition of the bridge is judged. On this basis, based on a real multi-span tied-arch bridge, the failure path and failure mechanism of through tied-arch bridges with different structural types under the systematic failure of suspenders are studied, and the influencing factors of different failure mechanisms are compared and analyzed. The results show that for the through tied-arch bridge, the breaking of the short suspender has little effect on the damage of the remaining structure of the bridge. When the long suspender is broken, it is easy to cause the adjacent suspender force to exceed its structural redundancy and break. Under the most unfavorable suspender breaking condition, the failure of 4 pairs of suspenders can lead to the systematic failure of the remaining suspenders of a multi-span tied-arch bridge, resulting in the loss of all suspenders of the bridge, and there is no force transmission component between the arch rib and the bridge system, so that the bridge system and the arch rib have different degrees of damage.
