Spatiotemporal heterogeneity analysis of ecosystem services at multiple scales in the Bohai Rim region
Translated Abstract
This study explores the spatiotemporal dynamics and interactions of ecosystem services at different scales, focusing on the impact of human activities on the ecological environment of the Bohai Rim region.Using 30 meter resolution land use data and statistical yearbook data, the InVEST model,KNDVI method, and entropy weight method were employed to construct six ecosystem services:habitat quality, carbon storage, soil retention, food production, water retention, and aesthetic value. The Self-Organizing Map(SOM)method was applied to identify ecosystem service clusters at scales of 10 km2,150 km2,and 900 km2,analyzing their spatiotemporal distribution patterns. The results show significant spatial changes in ecosystem services in the Bohai Rim region from 1990 to 2020:water retention areas in the eastern region decreased, while soil retention and food production areas expanded in the eastern and southern regions.Habitat quality and aesthetic value were concentrated in mountainous and hilly areas, exhibiting synergistic effects.Furthermore, the study revealed distinct spatiotemporal dynamics of ecosystem service clusters across different scales.
