Nonlinear bending responses of magneto-electro-elastic laminated nanoplates with flexomagnetoelectric effect in hygrothermal environments

Abstract:

The nonlinear bending behaviors of magneto-electro-elastic (MEE) laminated nanoplates under hygrothermal environments considering the flexomagnetoelectric (FME) effect are studied. The nonlinear governing equations for MEE nanoplates are derived utilizing the high-order shear deformation theory (HSDT), the Hamilton principle, and the nonlocal strain gradient theory (NSGT). These equations are subsequently solved using a numerical approach to analyze the impact of various parameters, including the FME effect, on the nonlinear bending behavior of the structure. This study enhances understanding of the FME effect on MEE material properties, expanding current knowledge in the field. © 2025 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
