Abstract:
In this work, a broadbanded RF power amplifier based on Chebyshev filter and dual-band matching is developed. It operates within the range of 3.0-4.0 GHz in the S-band, and the amplifier tube is CGH40010F provided by Cree. The bias circuit consists of a filter capacitor and a low-pass filter, which can isolate the ac and de circuits in a wider bandwidth range; the input matching network utilizes the filter characteristics of the filter to perform the impedance transformation, which can reduce the return loss; the output matching network uses a The output matching network uses dual-frequency matching, which can effectively expand the frequency band. The bias isolation of the amplifier is over 100dB, the overall return loss is below -10dB, the output power is 37.2dbm at the 1dB compression point, the power added efficiency is 50%, and the gain is 12.2dB. © 2023 IEEE.
