Abstract:

In this paper, we have presented a solution to generate a 2D focal spot array that does not need to be optimized and has the characteristics of a variable quantity, adjustable gap, and location. With the aid of a planar antenna array placed at the focal point of two high numerical aperture (NA) objective lenses to concentrate the field radiation, the focal spot array is easily achieved. The results show that there is a one-to-one correspondence with the array elements and the spots, which is mainly reflected in the following aspects. The location of the spot is only determined by the corresponding element, the number of spots and elements are equal, every spot in the 2D focal array has the same strength distribution. © 2022 IEEE.
