Abstract:
The normal partially reflective surface (PRS) antennas achieves limited gain due to the resonance condition. In this paper, an ultrathin planar metasurface phase-correcting surface is applied to equalize the phases of leaky-waves from the PRS antenna that has a cavity height of 0.7, resulting in significant gain enhancement. Simulations are conducted to demonstrate the advanced performance. © 2021 IEEE.
