梁章钜诗话之多,清嘉庆、道光朝无出其右.论者普遍认为梁氏第一部诗话是＜长乐诗话＞,然经笔者考订,应是编撰于乾隆五十九年至嘉庆四年之间的未刻之＜补萝山馆诗话＞.该诗话未刻似有其深层原因:历久而尚未完成之作;未能充分体现粱氏诗学思想;缺乏显著的区域特色等.＜补萝山馆诗话＞已散佚,未见传本.
