Translated Abstract
A plug and play method for intelligent devices in smart home systems is presented , to simplify the structure of the smart home system, enhance its scalability and make it easy for use. The system introduced the smart socket, which reduced the dependency between the smart home gateway and the intelligent devices. A custom plug and play protocol was proposed , in which the actions and status of the intelligent devices were submitted to the gateway in the stage of device registration. In addition , a home gateway was designed according to the proposed protocol. The test results show that the home gateway without changes can be connected by different types of intelligent device, and increasing the number of devices connected to the gateway will increase the amount of memory consumption, but it will not affect the response speed of the gateway and the loss rate of data packets. Therefore, the validity and feasibility of the presented method is demonstrated.
