This paper firstly introduces the basic principle of weighted support vector machine. Then it verifies by experiment when weighted support vector machine (WSVM)is used in net-work intrusion detection,the intrusion detection under the condition of small sample still has good generalization,and it overcomes the drawback that standard support vector machine algo-rithm can not deal with this sample flexibly.Therefore,the experimental results prove that this method is effective and efficient.
