It is a common problem for translators to decide whether to use foreignizing method or domesticating method when translating. By discussing the translating methods of some fictional fragments and proverbs, this paper suggests that when translat?ing, translators should try to use foreignizing method to keep the cultures of the source language, and then use domesticating method to adjust the translations to make readers better understand the works.
