The research is made on the basis of economic and environmental development and their coordination at the provincial level. The research results show:(1) in coupled coordination of economy and environment, the eastern coastal province domain has formed a good coordination zone and inland to moderate the coordinated development of plate, and the provincial economy development and envi-ronment coordination and the inverted ＂U＂ type of environmental Kuznets curve are consistent. Most provinces are on the left side in the ＂inflection point＂; ( 2 ) in the global space, spatial correlation and coordinated development is not significant, but in the local space on the formation of agglomeration area, how to further broaden the coordinated development of growth pole will be an important way of regional coordinated development in China;(3) in spatial interpolation of the painted surface, the coordinated development of economy and environment is on both sides, with the mid-western region in the lower or middle part, and eastern region in the ＂peak edge＂.
