Abstract:

'Fly-bird-type' is a half-through arch bridge with two cantilever half-arches. It is a special type of concrete filled steel tubular (CFST) arch bridge. Development and construction methods of such type bridge are introduced. Behaviors of the structures under dead loads are investigated. Some typical bridges are introduced as case study. At last appointments on the application and development of such type bridge are presented.
