Abstract:
Based on the cyclic testing and finite element model updating, the parametric analysis of two kinds of concrete-filled square steel tubular column-to-steel beam semi-rigid connections, namely sided-plate welding (SPW) connection and stiffened end plate (SEP) connection, under the cyclic loading by using the ANSYS program was conducted. From the analysis, it can be seen that the main influenctial factor of the SPW connection is the thickness of sided-plate, and those of SEP connection are the diameters of bolts and the thickness of end-plate. Furthermore, restoring-force constitutive models for the monotonic moment-rotation relationships of two kinds of connections were established through statistic regressing analysis. These models can be used to the initial design of the practical engineering and the numerical analysis.
