Abstract：

This　paper　analyzes　the　importance　of　vulnerabilities　scanner　in　the　field　of　network　security.　The　strong　points　and　shortcomings　of　free　vulnerabilities　scanner　Nessus　are　mainly　presented.　Some　improved　schemes　are　brought　forward,　and　the　model　of　new-style　vulnerabilities　scan　system　that　is　the　combination　of　IDS　and　vulnerabilities　scan　is　designed.　Its　principle　of　implementation　and　main　characters　are　simply　presented.
