Abstract:
Based on the test results and the theoretical analysis, several problems in the hysteretic behavior of FRP-confined concrete columns are discussed in this paper, such as mechanical behavior, failure modes, load-deflection relations, moment-curvature relations, energy dissipation and hysteretic models. The bending modulus and the rigidity degeneration of such confined columns are also discussed.
