Abstract:

This paper shows one kind of Intelligent No-Arc Motor Starter control principal. Intelligent No-Arc Motor Starter (NAMS) is a new-type control and protect low-voltage electric apparatus, which composed by a new-type intelligent hybrid AC contactor module and an intelligent motor protector module. Therefore, it has AC contactor and motor protector function. In the new-type intelligent hybrid AC contactor, the contact of each phase connected with only one unidirectional SCR in parallel finishes no-arc closing and breaking. So the cost of the no-arc AC contactor is reduced greatly. It has high performance-cost ratio and the structure of extinguishing chamber will also be simplified. The intelligent motor protector has over-voltage, under-voltage, locked-rotor, over-load, imbalance, phase-break, ground-connect protects function and so on .It has full protected function, simple parameter setting, safe and dependable performance. In the paper, by using the neural network to predict the winding of the motor temperature, improve the function of protecting. This kind of switch use may enormously enhance the system operate reliability.
