Abstract:
Recently, the catalysts for ammonia synthesis with higher stability, higher activity and lower cost have received considerable attention. This paper describes the new finding of the oxide-supported ruthenium catalysts for ammonia synthesis such as support preparation, catalyst reduction and the role of promoters. Advances in alloy catalysts for ammonia synthesis such as fuse iron-cobalt alloy, bimetallic nitride, as well as supported bimetallic are reviewed by combining the results of theory and experiment. The problems in the research of the oxide-supported catalysts ruthenium catalysts and alloy catalysts and the directions of the future research are also proposed.
