Abstract:

The multiple shaking table facilities are the prospective direction in the development of earthquake simulation shaking tables in engineering structures. In this paper, the state-of-the-art of the multiple shake-table facilities was briefly summarized, and the design and construction of the reaction mass of Fuzhou university earthquake simulation multiple shaking tables are introduced. The dynamical behaviour of the reaction mass is analyzed, measured and compared. It is expected that this introduction will be helpful to the design and construction of similar multiple shaking table facilities.
