Abstract:

A simplified method is developed to predict the ultimate load capacity of concrete filled steel columns. This method makes use of the advantages of the design methods in CECS and EC4. It is shown that the current method can be used to predict the ultimate load capacity of circular section concrete filled steel tube columns with good accuracy.
