Abstract:
In this paper, we have studied the dynamics of a coupled cavity system with the help of strong classical fields. We show that the deterministic multi-atom Greeberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) states can be obtained under certain conditions. With the help of strong classical fields, the system works in a fast way. Moreover, the proposed scheme is independent of the photon number of the cavity field. Thus the scheme is insensitive to cavity decay and thermal field. In addition, the operation time does not increase with increasing the number of atoms. These are of importance from the experimental point of view. © 2012 The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.
