Abstract:
Solenoid valves are a kind of electric appliance applied widely. It has significant meaning to analyze the electromagnetic field and temperature field of the electromagnetic mechanism to improve the performance indexes. In this paper, it gives an idea to calculate the stable temperature of the electromagnetic mechanism through the coupling of the electromagnetic field and the temperature field. 3D finite element model of solenoid valve has been built. The power loss of the electromagnetic mechanism is calculated from the magnetic field and the distribution of the temperature field can be calculated from the temperature model. The models have been verified through numerous experiments. Meanwhile, the influence on the temperature distribution of the electromagnetic mechanism caused by the coil turns, wire diameter, thickness of electromagnetic yoke and encapsulate layer, fill factor and material features are discussed in this paper. It will lay the foundation for the optimization design of solenoid valves. © 2012 Chin. Soc. for Elec. Eng.
