Abstract:
Hierarchical Zn2GeO4 hollow spheres were fabricated via a synergistic self-assembly route. Each building subunit of the spheres has a hexagonal rod shape and is dominated by (110) facets. The unique structure of Zn2GeO4 microspheres exhibits superior UV-light-driven activities for hydrogen production from water and biomass derivatives. © 2013 The Royal Society of Chemistry.
