Abstract:
A novel soluble polypyrrole derivative containing electron donor-acceptor groups (PAPDOOBE) was synthesised. The chemical structures and properties of the polymer were characterized by FT-IR, 1H NMR, UV-Vis, TG and C-V spectroscopy. UV-Vis spectroscopy revealed the energy bandgap of PAPDOOBE is 1.44eV. Cyclic voltammetry (CV) of PAPDOOBE electrode in the potential range from -1 to 1V was conducted in 0.1mol LiClO 4/1L acetonitrile (AN) solution. The result showed that peak potentials of the redox reaction were -0.21 and -0.53V, respectively. TGA indicates that PAPDOOBE decomposes at 168°C.
