Abstract:

This paper makes a research on the broadband velocity records of the total process of typhoon formation and development obtained by Seismic Monitoring Network of Fujian Province, presents a root-mean-square velocity abstracted from moving time window technique as a measure of characteristic energy, studies viberation energy changes of typhoon development process from start to end and gets a corresponding statistical relation between root-mean-square velocity and typhoon parameters. The research result preliminary shows that the data of seismic monitoring network can be applied to monitoring and prediction of typhoon.
