Abstract:

Three different type CFST arch bridges with cross section of single tubular, dumbbell shape and truss are taken as case study to build FEM model. The analysis of the effect to inner force and deform by construction error of pier are carried out. The research results shown that error of pier has little effect to thrust and deform of arch rib but has major effect to bending moment. The limit of construction error of pier in present bridge construction code is independent of arch span and the limit of 10 mm is strict for CFST arch bridge. The suggestion was proposed that this limit could be liberalized to 1/5000 of span.
