Abstract:

In order to research the effects of soil-structure interaction (SSI) on structural vulnerability analysis for concrete-filled steel tubular (CFST) frame, two finite element models, where the spring-damping unit is used to simulate the soil, are built to simulate a four-story CFST frame with rigid connections and with considering SSI. The modal analysis, seismic response and earthquake vulnerability analysis are conducted. The relationship curves of structural damage deformation and damage excess probability are obtained for different structural systems, sites and earthquake waves.
