Abstract:
pH-sensitive hydrogels (non-imprinted hydrogels, NIP) were synthesized by solution polymerization with hydroxyethyl methacrylate, methacrylic acid and acrylamide as functional monomers, and ethylene glycol dimethylacrylate as cross-linking agent. The swelling property and pH-sensitivity of NIP were investigated. Glucose imprinted hydrogels (imprinted hydrogels, MIP) were prepared by introducing glucose as template into the above reaction system. The results showed that the monomers and cross-linking agent had a certain degree of effects on the swelling ratio of NIP and the swelling ratio was close to the maximum in the pH range of 6-7. NIP showed obvious pH-responsive reversibility. MIP possesses the identification of glucose, and its imprinting factor could reach 1.73. The responses of MIP and NIP to pH are similar, but the swelling ratio of MIP is smaller.
