Abstract:
A series of 1.2%Mn-Fe/ACF catalysts using MX rejects-based activated carbon fibers as supports were prepared by an incipient wetness method and used for low-temperature selective catalytic reduction of NO. The catalysts were characterized by BET, XRD, FESEM and EDX techniques. The results of activity tests showed that the addition of an appropriate amount of iron could improve the catalytic activity of catalyst, and 1.2%Mn(0.75)-Fe/ACF catalyst yielded almost 92% NO conversion at 200 ℃ at a high space velocity of 56 000 h-1. The results of BET, XRD and FESEM showed that a high surface area and well-dispersed metal oxides on the surface of support would improve the catalytic activity of catalyst. ©, 2014, Journal of Functional Materials.
