Abstract:

Network virtualization is considered as the trend of the future Internet and the solution to the growing ossification of Internet nowadays, because it is more flexible and manageable by allowing multiple heterogeneous virtual networks to coexist on a shared infrastructure. The survivability of virtual network is meaningful. In this paper, we propose a solution of survivable virtual network embedding during substrate network's runtime on the assumption that the elements of substrate network are no longer with infinite life. Thus we put forward a virtual network embedding algorithm based multi-embedding policy and a hybrid link self-healing policy based on combination of pre-allocation backup and reconfiguration. We also propose a service quality function to measure the quality of service of SN. The simulation experiments show that our proposed policy and algorithms make a better business profit and improve the service quality of the infrastructure.
