Abstract:
A two-dimensional sliding model of double rough surfaces was established, and the conditions for the fixed sliding speeds which considered adhesion factors in the process of contact. The friction and wear of sliding processes were analysed using the finite element analysis take into account elastic-plastic material properties with material failure. The wear rate and vibration were compared and analysed whether or not considering adhesive factors, the vibration power spectrum was obtained based on FFT arithmetic. The numerical results show that the average coefficient of friction is 0.48 when the interfacial shear strength τ=σy/√3 (where σy is the yield strength). In the case of considering adhesion, wear rate is larger, power spectrum low frequency component is more, vibration is relatively gentle, the corresponding energy also is larger. Compared with experimental results, it is concluded that the rationality of the simulation exists, these results also deepen understanding the physical image of the friction and wear processes.
