Abstract:

Wengxing Bridge is located at Shuntai county, Wenzhou, Zhejiang province. It is a national protected culture heritage and also a unique timber arch bridge because of its inclined shape. The inclined and twistv bridge framework put Wenxing Bridge at the risk of collapse. Based on the field survey on Wenxing Bridqe, this paper analyses the reasons causing the bridge inclined and destroyed, and discusses suggestively the methods of maintenance and reinforcement.
