Abstract:

Taking the Zhuxi watershed in Changting County of China as the study area, soil erosion is estimated by using SWAT model. The runoff sediment data from 2013-2015 years of Hetian hydrologic station are used for the model's calibrations and correction. The experimental results showed that the simulated results from the SWAT model with the correction parameters could reflect the actual situation of the study area objectively. The estimation results show that the main soil erosion types in the watershed are mainly micro and light erosion, the area of moderate and serious erosion is small and these areas are mainly distributed in the central region. Among all kinds of land use types, the soil erosion modulus of bare land is maximal, while the absolute value of sediment yield in forest land is largest for its largest area. © 2017 IEEE.
