Abstract:

Compensation network is critical component for the magnetically coupled resonant wireless power transfer (MCR-WPT) system. In this paper a novel resonant compensation network is proposed which is suitable for the magnetically coupled system with constant voltage input and constant current output. This novel compensation network can realize not only the current gain independent of loads, but also unit input power factor. The mathematical models of the transfer efficiency and output power are deduced theoretically, and their relations with coupling coefficient, operating frequency and load resistance are analyzed. Finally, the numerical simulations and experiments prove that current gain is independent of the load and a high efficiency can be obtained with the proposed compensation network for the MCR-WPT. © 2015 Chin.
