Abstract:

Well-defined hierarchical hollow spheres constructed from Mn2O3 quantum dots were prepared via an ion-exchange strategy starting from small-sized amorphous calcium carbonate. They show outstanding capability to extract trace-level uranyl from field water. © 2016 The Royal Society of Chemistry.
