Abstract：

A　mild　and　efficient　copper-mediated　trifluoromethylthiolation　of　acid　chlorides　using　(bpy)CuSCF3　has　been　developed.　A　wide　range　of　S-trifluoromethyl　esters　were　synthesized　in　good　to　excellent　yields　and　various　functional　groups,　including　cyano,　ether,　ester,　halide,　nitro,　et　al.　were　well　tolerated.　©　2016　Elsevier　Ltd.　All　rights　reserved.
