福建民居古厝众多,乡土文化浓郁,而福建土堡隐匿于深山之中,独具一格却鲜为人知,是福建乡土建筑遗落之瑰宝.文章定义福建土堡,探寻土堡分布与现状,通过建筑原型、平面型制、功能构成等方面论述福建土堡建筑特色,并将其与型制相近、功能相近的防御性乡土建筑福州寨庐、福建土楼进行对比.
