Abstract:
Nanocrystalline Ni(nc-Ni) coating was synthesized by pulse electrodeposition. The microstructures of the coatings were analyzed. The effects of pulse electric current density and testing load on the tribological properties of nanocrystalline nickel coating were investigated. The results show that the grain sizes in the coatings prepared by pulse electro-deposition are uniformity. The microhardness and wear-resistance of nanocrystalline nickel coating increase because of decreasing the grains sizes along with the increasing of pulse electrical current density, and the wear mechanism of the nanocrystalline nickel coating was changed from adhesive wear to abrasive wear.
