Abstract:

A kind of chainlike distribution solution inclusions in KDP crystals were observed by microscopy and SEM. The size of these inclusions was from several to dozens of microns. They mainly arranged along the crystal edges. With analyzing the formation conditions and mechanism of these solution inclusions, the relationship between their formation and the mechanism of growth from the edges, which new developed in recent year, was found. Possible reasons of inducing the growth mechanism of growth-step generation from the edges were discussed.
