Abstract:

High accuracy of digital elevation models (DEM) data is used as basic information source to overlay digital slope and digital aspect models. Based on a distributed model for calculating monthly astronomical solar radiation of with a resolution of 90 m ×90 m SRTM (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission) DEM for the rugged topography of the Wuyishan mountainous area is calculated. This paper uses ray-tracing method and integral by subparagraph to calculate the conditions of terrain shading information, and through an integral way to make a visualization of astronomical solar radiation (ASR).
