Abstract:
The concentration of rutin and its hydrolysis products were directly minitored by capillary electrophoresis-amperometric detection due to its high resolution and high sensitivity of detection. The hydrolysis rate constants of rutin can be obtained at different temperatures in 10% HCl. At 65°C, 80°C and 95°C, the measured rate constants of rutin hydrolysis were 5. 66 × 10-3 min-1, 7.19 × 10-3 min-1 and 8.51 × 10-3 min-1, respectively. The method was intuitionistic and convenient. The approach can also be used for separation and determination of the rutin and quercetin. Under the optimum conditions, the detection limit was 0.6 and 6.2 mg/L for rutin and quercetin, respectively. This method was successfully applied to the analysis of traditional medicine Huaimi sample with average recoveries of 97.6%.
