Abstract:
The seismic behavior of concrete-filled SHS (Square Hollow Section) columns may be used to assess the potential damage caused by fire and to establish an approach to calculate the structural fire protection for minimum post-fire repair. This paper provides six column test data pertaining to the seismic behavior of concrete-filled SHS columns after exposure to fire. The characteristic of load-deformation hysteretic curve and the law of the stiffness degradation are discussed. The authors used different design methods to compare the member capacities and the stiffness of concrete-filled SHS columns after exposure to ISO-834 standard fire.
