Abstract:
In this paper, a generalized nonlinear detector (GND) is proposed for impulse radio ultra-wideband (IR-UWB) receiver employed the nonlinear square law (SL) technology (SL-GND). By using a generalized nonlinear detector, the received signal processed by SL operator is exploited by it's high-order statistic. Simulation results show that comparing with the conventional ED receivers using SL technology and other nonlinear detector-based receiver, the proposed SL-GND receiver can significantly improve the bit-error-rate performance, especially when strong narrowband interference presents. © 2018 IEEE.
