To　study　the　automatic　extracting　system　of　linear　road　in　TM　images.　Firstly,　the　features　of　TM　images　was　analyzed,　a　Image　segmentation　algorithm　based　on　multi-spectra　was　presented.　Secondly,　some　texture　features　of　road　area　in　TM　image　was　analyzed,　rapidly　fuzzy　classification　approach　was　adopted,　a　dilation　algorithm　and　realizes　automatic　link　of　roads　was　presented.　The　experimental　results　show　that　system　achieve　good　extracting　result.
