An　investigation　was　conducted　on　the　adsorption　of　Cr(III)　ions　by　a　new　kind　of　spherical　cellulose　adsorbent　immolizated　with　phytic　acid.　The　equilibrium　adsorption　data　of　the　Cr(III)　ions　on　adsorbent　were　analyzed　by　Langmuir　and　Freundlich　models,　and　some　kinetic　parameters　of　the　adsorption　were　calculated.　Moreover,　the　adsorbent　was　also　used　to　dispose　the　tannery　wastewater　sample,　and　the　results　showed　that　the　spherical　cellulose　adsorbent　had　good　application　prospect　in　the　treatment　of　tannery　wastewater.　©　(2011)　Trans　Tech　Publications.
