Abstract:
One single geo-spatial web processing service cannot complete complicated geographic processing task. Combination of services is a common way to handle the problem. This paper proposes a way to integrate geo-processing web services by workflow technology. A geographic flow model is given from the business process model and a new node-human-resource way is suggested to integrate services. The paper also shows the geographic process services' access and binding pattern. At last, a prototype system of geographic web service workflow engine was built up to confirm the hypothesis. A LIDAR data preprocessing process is tested as a first test case. © 2012 Springer-Verlag GmbH.
