Abstract:

Simulate and analyze the characteristic of coherent jet oxygen lance and common oxygen lance by Software FLUWENT6.2.16. Study the application of coherent jet oxygen lance in BOF. Researching design one special coherent jet oxygen lance for 35 t BOF of Anyang iron and steel company, and work out a new smelting process for the 35 t BOF with coherent jet oxygen lance to improve dephosphorization effect. According to results of industrial experiments, this BOF technology with special coherent jet oxygen lance improves the smelting effect obviously. Average tapping w([P]) reach 0.016%. At the same time, new BOF technology saves the consumption of oxygen about 12.92 Nm3 and saves the consumption of steel material about 3.4 kg/t averagely, which save steel-smelting cost obviously. © 2014 WIT Press.
